Welcome to the end of August! I’m honestly not sure I’m totally ready for it. I know many people out there are ready for fall and for the hot weather to be done, but I’m not quite there.

Summer is my all-time favorite season. I love boating with my family, bar hopping with friends and having cocktails outside. Half day Friday’s and early morning summer runs.

I’m so relaxed just thinking about all of it right now.

But, August has come to a close. We’re moving into football season, chunky sweaters, booties and cooler afternoon runs. Not to say that any of that is bad, I’m just not mentally there yet.

So instead, I’m going to reflect back on the amazing August I had, and hope you had too!

Piece of Cake: Nourish

Late last week I shared this recipe for some pretty chocolate protein donuts. They’re the perfect start to your morning, but even better that they’re made with the best protein powder I think I’ve ever used before.

For those of you who don’t know that I became a personal coach through Beachbody, I’m sharing that this protein powder has completely changed my outlook on what kind of nutrients and dense nutrition I’m putting into my body.

The amount of vitamins and just all around healthy goodness that’s packed into one scoop of this crazy good chocolate powder is insane. I swear it’s what has given me the lean muscles I now have in such a short period of time. It’s honestly worth every penny.

Piece of Cake: Celebrate

This month consisted of two different celebrations. 🎉🎉

I turned 29 this year. What my husband so lovingly calls the last year of my youth. But in all honesty, I had a fantastic weekend celebrating before my actual birthday, which fell on a Monday.

Hanging out with good friends I hadn’t seen for awhile, along with my parents made for a perfect celebration. I maybe took my celebrating just a little too far when I felt like I couldn’t get off the couch on Sunday. 😂 But that’s a sign of a good time, right?

The other celebration was for my soon-to-be sister in law. My mom hosted her bridal shower, and I made some {if I do say so myself} pretty amazing cupcakes. myself and the bachelorette with her bouquet

Then of course it was the bachelorette party. We all had a blast, but I kept it more low key this time around and let her have all the fun. 😉 I am honestly so excited to be welcoming Rachel into our family come October. She will truly be the sister I never had.


Piece of Cake: Fit for Fall

Now that we are getting into fall, it’s the perfect time to reset yourself from all of those summer drinks and BBQ’s. I’m hosting a brand new group in the middle of September called ‘Fit for Fall’.

It’s going to be three weeks of workouts {don’t worry if you feel like you can’t do the high intensity. These workouts are made for beginner to more advanced}. The awesome part is that they’re only 30 minutes long!

Piece of Cake: One Last Slice

What I’ve been loving: the motivated women in my workout groups! Honestly, the fact that all of these women have full-time jobs, most have kids, or are ready to start a family, and are still taking their health to the next level, is inspiring. Often times I hear that people are too busy to workout and to live healthier. But these women have taken their health by the reigns and decided that they’re not too busy to make themselves a priority.

It feels so so good to know that I’m helping others on their journey to a happier and healthier lifestyle.
