I feel like I say this every month, but I’m always so surprised at how quickly the months have been flying by.
The month of March has been no exception, and there’s been so much going on. So why not just dive right in, shall we?
Piece of Cake: new journeys
If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know that at the beginning of December I lost my job. I’ve been searching for new jobs that are remote, part-time or full-time. All within the digital marketing or social media space.
It seems that with spring finally turning a corner, so has the job market. I’m still in the interviewing process with different companies, but I’m excited to see where this journey could lead us!
I’m also still working hard on creating a brand new mindful eating program that will be available right here on I Only Came for the Cake.
Once the majority of the materials are ready, I’ll be looking for some beta testers to go through the entire program. So definitely be on the lookout for that to come soon!
The other big journey that started to take place in March was our decision to move forward with IVF.
I shared awhile back my journey with finding out that I have PCOS, and what it’s meant for our fertility journey.
We started seeing a specialist back in September of 2018, and had a few procedures that we thought would be the ticket to getting pregnant.
Each attempt that didn’t work was honestly crushing, and I didn’t think I was going to be ready, mentally or physically, to go through with IVF.
But after lots of discussion with our doctor, we finally have a plan to move forward with, and will be starting IVF treatment in April.
I’m excited and nervous, but I know that God has a plan for us, and I fully trust Him.
Piece of Cake: home decor
This month Burken and I rearranged my home office so that I could look out the window and have more natural sunlight.
We also created a beautiful gallery wall next to my desk that I’m super excited to fill out.
With Piece of Cake Designs, I’ve been able to create some fun and inspiring wall art that I’ve been loving.
One piece is this “Work Hard, Stay Humble” piece that reminds me every day to keep pushing forward on my dreams, but to not let my ego get in the way.
I’ll be creating a lot more pieces in the future, but if you have a special request, or you’re looking to have a quote written specially for you that you can’t find anywhere else, I would absolutely love to create that for you!
Just email pieceofcakedesigns13{at}gmail{dot}com with your request.
Piece of Cake: nourish
Many of you know that I have weekly meal plans that are available on my blog. {But if you’re new, they’re here: Deluxe Meal Plan}
But lately, I’ve been feeling like this maybe isn’t the best use of my time and energy. That maybe it’s not exactly what you need.
So, I want to hear from you!
What made you either purchase, or not purchase a meal plan?
What would a meal plan HAVE to have for you to say yes to buying?
Does having a complete, weekly, meal plan appeal to you?
Let me know your honest answers, or feel free to email me personally through my contact page if you don’t want to leave a comment on this post.
Piece of Cake: one last slice
What I’ve been loving this month:
- These comfortable and super stylish tennies from Target! Seriously one of the best purchases I made all month.
2. These thank you cards that are perfect for little notes to send to friends and family to let them know how much they mean to you.
3. This new app called Gratitude. You can set reminders to slow your roll during the day and be grateful for the little things in life. It also has a journaling aspect that gives prompts at the end of the day to journal about what you’re grateful for.
What You’ve Been Loving
- Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Bites – and for good reason! These babies are soft like a traditional pretzel bite, but they’re gluten free and require no yeast. A total win in my book…and apparently in yours too!
2. Super Soft Pudding Cookies – if you’ve never made these cookies before, they’re a must! Every time, and I mean every time, I make them, I’m always asked for the recipe. Or told how amazingly soft and delicious they are. Plus, if you’re looking for an easy Easter treat, these are it.
3. 3-Ingredient Banana Ice Cream – apparently everyone else is feeling on board with the fact that winter has finally {hopefully} flown the coop, and is looking for a tasty, yet healthy, sweet treat.
Well, I do believe that wraps up March in a nutshell. Just a few more days to go until April, and hopefully continued nice weather!
Don’t forget to tell me in the comments, or by email, all about your meal plan needs!
