Piece of Cake 026

This summer is absolutely flying by!

It feels like just yesterday that I was writing June’s Piece of Cake post.

But this month has been full of lots of summer fun, so I can’t complain too much.

What do you say? Should we dive in to the month of July??

Piece of Cake: Five month old babes

Our babers, miss Kennedy, is five months old tomorrow. I think I said this last time, but parents are kidding when they say that time flies by with babies.

It’s truly amazing how much even just four weeks makes in her personality and skills.

She’s now sleeping in her crib at night, and sleeping completely through the night.

We’re no longer swaddling because girl is active! She loves to roll from her front to back and front again.

She’s holding her neck up and loves playing in her activity seat. It has toys all around the rim and lights and sounds.

The ceiling fan may be one of her greatest entertainers. She’ll babble to the fan all day long.

That’s the other thing. We’ve moved into screeching and babbling. She loves to sit there and have a conversation with you.

I can’t wait to see what next month brings for this active little girl.

Piece of Cake: Baby weight loss

I am so incredibly proud of myself for losing the baby weight in just five months postpartum.

Without dieting and with 20-30 minute workouts every day, I’ve been able to almost get back to my pre-baby weight.

I don’t weigh myself, unless it’s at the doctor, so I base it all off of photos and how I feel in my clothing.

I’m sharing a blog post next Thursday on the exact workouts I used to drop the baby weight in five months.

It’s also important to point out that I didn’t diet at all during this time. If you’ve been around here for awhile, you know that I follow intuitive eating.

I’ve been teaching an intuitive eating masterclass the past two months and sharing how I lost the baby weight without a diet.

I’d love to tell you all my secrets! You can sign up for the class here.

Healthy Coffee Cake: I created this recipe based off my grandma’s coffee cake that I’m obsessed with. I “health-ified” it and it’s seriously to-die for!

This Walnut Pie Crust. This grain-free and gluten free pie crust is salty and crunchy and perfect with this vegan lemon pie filling.
